  • Blood Tests

    It is beneficial to understand a base line of specific markers depending on a clients symptoms and health objectives. There are a vast number of blood tests now available which are simple to arrange either using local phlebotomy clinics or in the comfort of your own home. Some clients will also bring existing results which I can review.

    Testing includes:

    Cholesterol

    Energy screening

    Thyroid function

    Liver function

    Vitamins and Mineral levels

    Allergy testing

    Mould and toxic elements

  • Urine Testing

    Urine testing can provide a very good insight into the levels of some vitamins and minerals but can also indicate the effectiveness of some processes in the body.

    This method of testing is particularly useful when looking deeper into hormone imbalances and energy production.

    The most common tests I use are the Organic Acid Test or OAT, which is a comprehensive analysis of the above in addition to presence of toxins and harmful bacteria.

  • Nutrigenomics

    Nutrigenomics looks at how nutrition and other lifestyle factors impact our genetic potential.

    DNA tells the body how to do everything, including how well you absorb and use specific nutrients like vitamins, affecting your nutrient needs. It impacts production of sex hormones, reproduction and fertility, and neurotransmitters, influencing thinking and emotional wellbeing. It regulates how well your cells can grow and repair, even how efficiently they produce energy, or how readily you store excess energy as fat.

    Clearly we can’t change our genes, but as a result of research, we now know that for some genes in particular, changing what we eat and aspects of our lifestyle can influence how our genes behave. This empowers us to make positive changes that help to optimise our health and wellbeing.

    For many people, understanding how different foods and lifestyle factors influence their blood glucose levels can provide valuable information to help improve energy levels and support weight loss.
